The Chief Executives of the Faculty of Public HealthRoyal Society of Public HealthAssociation of Directors of Public Health, and UK Public Health Register act as a coordinating group to oversee the development and work of the Network.
The UK Health Forum hosted the Network until 31 March 2019. The Association of Directors of Public Health became the accountable organisation for the Network from 1 April 2019.
The Network meets in full face to face twice a year. It discusses, and develops responses to, issues of strategic importance in improving the public’s health across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
Attendees at Network summits are the decision-makers for the organisation, including chairs, presidents, chief executives and senior Board level staff. We meet under Chatham House rules to facilitate open discussions and the exchange of knowledge.
Policy leads from a number of Network member and observer organisations meet quarterly to exchange work in progress and reduce duplication of effort where possible.
The Network is currently staffed by a full-time Coordinator and a part-time Administrator.
